General Nursing Three Years Diploma

AIM: The Qualified practitioner nurse applies knowledge with skills and attitudes in the provision of comfort and care for the health needs of people. It is a dynamic, therapeutic and educational process by which the nurse practitioner promotes health, prevents illness and participates in curative and rehabilitative health services to individuals, families and communities.


OBJECTIVES: The nurse provides health care for the comfort and well-being of patients by promoting, maintaining and restoring health, preventing illness, injury or disability, caring for the sick and dying, health teaching and collaborating with others members of health team. Nursing care is directed as individuals, families and communities in a non-discriminatory manner, regardless of race, colour of religion.

CURRICULUM: Curriculum Approved by Pakistan Nursing Council, SNEB also follow curriculum for the Post Basic Examination of diploma.


ELIGIBILITY: For 03 Year General Nursing Diploma Program

Qualification: Applicant must meet one of the following academic level: FSc (Pre-Medical) With 50% marks minimum / Matric (Science) With 55% marks minimum.


EVALUATION: Internal: Conduct by Institution for whole two terms through; MCQs, Short and Long answers questions, Viva. External: Final Theory/oral exam by SNEB
