  • Objectives

The principal objective of the BSN program at INSTITUTE OF NURSING & HEALTH SCIENCES is to empower young candidates with minimum higher secondary qualifications to pursue a professional career in nursing education. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to achieve the following:

  1. Apply knowledge from physical, biological, behavioral, and medical sciences in providing nursing care to individuals, families, and communities
  2. Understand lifestyle and related factors that affect the health of  individuals and groups
  3. Provide nursing care to recuperating, critically ill, and terminally ill patients
  4. Develop skills of critical thinking for making decisions in handling difficult situations while giving care to patients
  5. Acquire knowledge and skills related to operating the advance medical equipment
  6. Provide promotive, preventive, and restorative health services in line with the National Health Policies and Programs
  7. Practice within the framework of Code of Ethics, Professional Conduct, and acceptable standards within the legal


  1. Learn skills of effective communication with individuals, groups, and members of the health team in order to promote sustained interpersonal relationships and team spirit
  2. Demonstrate teaching skills to individuals and groups in hospital or community health settings
  3. Effectively Participate as a member of the health team in the health care delivery system
  4. Demonstrate leadership and managerial skill in clinical/ community health settings
  5. Conduct need-based research studies in various settings and utilize the research findings to improve the quality of      

  health care management system
